Future Projects

  • Tidal Power
Among the projects the Hydrogen Energy Center is considering sponsoring after the successful completion of the Chewonki Renewable Hydrogen Project involves turning tidal flow energy into hydrogen. We are considering locations where there is fast moving water, preferably with access to existing structurally sound underwater columns suitable for the attaching and testing of two highly efficient mechanisms designed to convert flow energy to electricity and hydrogen.
  • Safety Codes
HEC is considering ways to become involved in safety code development and/or education.
  • Sparhawk HydrogenEnergy ProjectThis project will use hydro-electric power to generate hydrogen.
