Brad Bradshaw - President and Director, Hydrogen Energy Center
President and Founder, Velerity

Mr. Bradshaw is an accomplished business strategy and marketing executive skilled in growth strategies and turn-arounds for high tech clean energy and telecommunications companies. Mr. Bradshaw has spent his career translating market opportunities into successful business strategies, and has an unsurpassed level of experience in energy storage, solar energy, hydrogen and fuel cells, energy services, demand management and utility strategies.

Currently, Mr. Bradshaw is the President of Velerity, a management consultancy and advisory firm, helping management teams accelerate their success. Recently, Mr. Bradshaw was the President and CEO of Hy9, a hydrogen purification and hydrogen generation company targeting backup power generation for telecommunication facilities in developing countries. Mr. Bradshaw also worked for the global management consultancy Arthur D. Little, advising utility, telecommunications and high tech companies around the world on product, market and business strategies.

Steve Linnell - Director, Hydrogen Energy Center
Mr. Linnell is an energy and transportation planner, mobilizing options at the nexus of sustainability, transportation and energy. Most recently, Mr. Linnell was the Director for Transportation Planning for the Greater Portland Council of Governments. Mr. Linnell was also the coordinator for Maine Clean Communities.

Dick Meyer - Treasurer and Director, Hydrogen Energy Center
Mr. Meyer most recently was the Senior Design Engineer for Radiac Abrasives, a manufacturer of precision engineered grinding wheels used in a multitude of industries. Earlier, Mr. Meyer was a project engineer with National Grinding Wheel. Mr. Meyer has an MBA from Western New England University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Gerry Runte - Representative Maine House District 146
Gerry currently serves as the State Representative for House District 146 in Maine, which includes parts of York and Wells and the Town of Ogunquit. He serves on the Joint Committee on Energy, Utilities, and Technology and the Maine Climate Council.

As a senior executive at General Public Utilities, an electric utility holding company, he served in various financial and strategic planning roles. After his 22 year tenure at GPU, he led the management of several fuel cell development companies and a contract research business unit focusing on hydrogen energy and alternative fuels at the Gas Technology Institute. Most recently, he provided independent consultancy services, advising firms on investing in emerging technologies.

Rick Smith - Founder, Hydrogen Energy Center
Mr. Smith is the Founder and first President of the Hydrogen Energy Center, beginning in 1992. Over many years, Mr. Smith engaged hydrogen and fuel cell industry participants around the world to advance the industry, playing a key role in nearly all of the HEC initiatives described in our History https://www.hydrogenenergycenter.org/history/

From 2005 to 2017 Mr. Smith was Of Counsel with Bernstein Shur in its Real Estate and Environmental and Energy practice groups, and was recognized by Best Lawyers and Chambers in Maine and New Hampshire. Earlier, Mr. Smith held legal and management positions with Ticor, Commonwealth Land, Lawyers and Chicago Title Insurance Companies. Mr. Smith is also a US Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional and served as volunteer counsel to the NH Chapter of the USGBC and as a member of the Alternative Energy Committee in Cape Elizabeth, ME.
